What got you into running?

Honest answer? I wanted to do a abseil down the Liverpool cathedral for child flight but for whatever reason I couldn’t, so ended up looking for sponsored events really want to raise a bit of money and a fun run came up so decided to do that and commenced training,  started in april 2013 and first run was august 2013.

What has been your fave run before this challenge?
The Santa dash, amazing atmosphere and amazing time in my little orange costume, had hoped to make some press with it but it didn’t happen but I certainly stood out form the crowd.

Best pace / time?
My best pace so far was in the festive fun run at 7.15min/k and best time was the big fun run at 34mins for 5k.

Aims?
To be able to run a full 5k at 7min/k and to get to 5k under 30mins if possible.

What is childflight/ why childflight?
Child-flight is an amazing charity which takes children with life limiting life threatening conditions to Orlando Florida to provide a once in a life time trip to them and their families.  As a children nurse I constantly see families at difficult times as well as the occasional happy times but it is the happy times that can be cherished and a trip like this where no one needs to worry about anything and they can just enjoy them self’s have a lasting and long term positive benefit on all involved.  The website for the charity can be found here:- CHILDFLIGHT
